Jeremiah 46:9-11

⁹ Go up, you horses, and ^[a](A)drive wildly, you chariots,
So that the warriors may ^[b]march forward:
^[c]Cush and ^[d](B)Put, who handle the shield,
And the ^[e](C)Lydians, who handle and bend the bow.
¹⁰ For ^(D)that day belongs to the Lord ^[f]God of armies,
A day of ^(E)vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes;
And the ^(F)sword will devour and be satisfied,
And ^[g]drink its fill of their blood;
For there will be a ^(G)slaughter for the Lord ^[h]God of armies,
In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
¹¹ Go ^(H)up to Gilead and obtain balm,
^(I)Virgin daughter of Egypt!
You have used many ^[i]remedies in vain;
There is ^(J)no healing for you.
